The Biak tribe is an ethnic group originating from the Biak Islands in Cenderawasih Bay, just off the north coast of Papua Island. Some also call it Numfor, Mafor, Wiak / Vyak. Just like the abilities of the Bugis tribe, they explore the oceans from the Maluku Islands, Sulawesi, Java, to the Malacca Peninsula.

They sell various commodities to several Yapen Waropen island clusters, Wondama & Dore bays, Manokwari, Amberbaken, and extend to various waters of the archipelago. There are 4 small bays that have long been a stopover for fishing boats & traders since ancient times, namely So Nggela, Toro Londe, Bonto and Kolo bays. The word tolo Bali means to reject back. It is called the Sora village, because the word sora means sieve.

This village is a new settlement area that was opened around 1985. They are people from the Wera region. The ship returned on 23 - 5 -1633 & failed to carry out its mission because the rice, houses and villages were burned.

Based on the results of an interview with Mr. Amirudin, dated 17 - 2 - 2016, he said that this ua pua tradition has been carried out by the community since ancient times.

It began with the beating of the ranca nae at 6 am from the attic of the Palace gate. Frans Kaisiepo, governor of West Irian for the 1964-1973 term & Indonesian national hero. Fredrik Menufandu, regent of Supiori for the 2011-2014 term.

They are one of the largest tribes in Asia, spread across various regions, such as the Malays in Bima who have a life that strongly maintains the culture of their ancestors. Their customs are still the same as the customs of their ancestors in Minang.

The original belief of their ancestors is the belief in marafu. The influence of foreign culture is accepted, without leaving the original cultural values that have been inherited since the time of their ancestors. Finally, these words & sentences are used as a basis for remembering spirits every 3, 7, 10, 44 days, etc.

One of the reasons why they generally live in mountainous areas is because they are pressured by newcomers who spread new cultures & religions, such as Islam, Christianity and even Hinduism / Buddhism. At that time 2 figures came from Minangkabau, with the intention of spreading Islam. These immigrants came around the 14th century, both because of economic factors such as trading or to spread religion as missionaries.

They are considered immigrants from Arabia, as descendants of the prophet. However, their spirits were burning, the two scholars had to return to Makassar. Abdul Kahir ruled in 1620-1640, then was replaced by his son named Abdul Kahir Sirajudin who was titled mantau uma fati, ruling for approximately 42 years.

In Oi Ule, this is where Sultan Abdul Khair Sirajuddin took an oath of allegiance to his teachers to remain steadfast to Islam. This was done because they knew that the sultan would be pleased to witness the art attractions & on the last day, namely the night of the 12th of Rabiul Awal, the event would end with preaching. The langgar which was built in 1608 AD, is now no longer used as a place of worship.
