Halmahera's Animism

Indonesia has a diversity of ethnic groups. Based on data from the 2010 BPS census, there were 1340 ethnic groups in the country. They adhere to the Sunda Wiwitan teachings, which believe in ancestral spirits & worship 1 great power in nature, which they believe in and greatly respect the traditional leader called puun. The Wana tribe usually calls themselves Tau Taa, different from the term from outsiders, namely Tau Taa Wana, which means people who live in forest areas. Tobelo's Animism

The Wana tribe comes from Kalimantan and is located in the interior of the eastern part of Central Sulawesi province. The Wana tribe usually calls themselves Tau Taa, different from the term used by outsiders, namely Tau Taa Wana, which means people who live in forest areas. This tribe is often referred to as the Togutil tribe and is a more closed group than the coastal Tobelo tribe. In the local language, the word togutil " is o hanga manyawa, which means backward, rural, and left behind. The term Kubu itself comes from the word ngubu / ngubun which in Malay means hiding in the forest. They occupy a forest area about 150 km from the Arafura Sea. Noaulu

Biodiversity is very important for the sustainability of the Indonesian nation's life. The Rutaceae / citrus family used consists of lime and Chinese lemon, the Lamiaceae family consists of miana leaves and cat's whiskers, while the Myrtaceae family consists of guava and cloves. Most of the Noaulu tribe comes from North Maluku, precisely Halmahera Island. It can be interpreted that Noahatan / Noaulu live in the Noa River's upper reaches. In the past, they still adhered to the custom of cutting off heads / headhunting like the Dayak people in Kalimantan. But since the 1970s they have not done it anymore after continuous socialization by the local government. We have collected 2 of the traditions that are still preserved by the Noalu tribe on Seram Island, namely pahahari & pinamou. Naurus

The Manusela/Wahai tribe has a population of over 10,100 people centered in the Manusela mountains of North Seram, Maluku, Indonesia. The Naurus are a combination of Hinduism & animism, but in recent years, they have adopted some Protestant principles. Initially, the Naurus beliefs were close to animism. Not much is known about their religion, but it probably included the worship of Hindu and animist Gods, with influences from Mindanao during the early period.

Wemale's Animism

Kei's Animism

The customary provisions inherited from their ancestors are the law of larvul ngabal.
