Bali Aga's Animism
From a linguistic perspective, the Bali Aga tribe is Austronesian, just like other ethnic groups in the western Lesser Sunda Islands. Well, just like most regions in Indonesia which used to embrace animism & dynamism, so does this society. In Tenganan, where tourism is more readily accepted & the people are said to be friendlier, a 3-day festival called usaba sambah is held during June/July.
