The Yapen tribe is a group of tribes that inhabit Yapen Island in Cenderawasih Bay. This ethnic group consists of 7 native tribes & 3 settled tribes, native tribes such as Ampari. The ten villages are Ambai, Rondepi, Adiwipi, Randawaipi, Menawi, Wadapi Laut, Randaways, Warironi, Sumberbaba, Nunsembai & Dawai.
