Boda


Boda is the original belief of the Sasak tribe in Lombok. Boda dance is one of the traditional arts of the Nusa Tenggara Islands which is often performed at certain events. If one day we are in the Lesser Sunda Islands & a local government ceremony is taking place, this dance is usually performed.

Several arts & culture activists in the Nusa Tenggara islands claim that the boda dance is an art that was born from the ancestral traditions of the people in the past, without any influence from outside culture, such as some arts that are influenced by Balinese culture.

Pesisir's Animism
