Hatam's Animism
The Hatam tribe. Their villages are also located in the north and along the coast, with Tinam in the upper reaches of the Ransiki River to Sower in the south, and Urwam in the coastal area north of Oransbari. Furthermore, in their area, there is now a palm oil plantation, some of whose workers are transmigrants from Java.
The Hatam people still practice shifting cultivation, with a year-long rotation. However, before modernization and the establishment of rural areas in Papua, the Hatam people lived in small communities of 15-20 people from the same ancestors.
