Murop's Animism

At that time, my father had a project in the Wentira area. I had passed the coffee plantation area mentioned by these last two friends several times. So, why does Uwentia mean Uwentira City?

The Balinese are an ethnic group inhabiting the island of Bali, speaking the Balinese language and following Balinese culture. In West Java, they are found primarily in the regencies of Indramayu and Cirebon. The Madurese are a large ethnic group in Indonesia, numbering around 20 million.

Several cities in Kalimantan, such as Sampit and Sambas, experienced ethnic riots involving Madurese due to social disparities. However, these disparities have now subsided, and the Madurese and local residents have returned to harmony. Sang Hyang Surawisesa, or King Samian, was the first king in the Indonesian archipelago to establish diplomatic relations with another nation in the 15th century, dealing with the Portuguese in Malacca. Popular wayang stories today are often inspired by Hindu culture from India, such as the Ramayana and the Baratayudha War.

Biologically, those who identify as Betawi are descendants of a mixed-race community of various ethnicities and nationalities brought to Batavia by the Dutch. The Bugis are one of the ethnic groups residing in South Sulawesi. One of the areas inhabited by the Bugis is Sidenreng Rappang Regency.

The performance times are unique, occurring at night, from around 8-9 AM to 4 AM. In the 10th century, Barus was attacked by Srivijaya. Just to recall, more than 30 years ago, the government launched a program to intensify rural agriculture, known as the "green revolution" in agricultural development.

This program, in the early 1970s, was popularly known as the "bimas padi sawah" (rice paddy cultivation). Next to it, there is a concrete bridge that, reportedly in the 1980s, required all passing vehicles to signal their passing by using their lights or at least their horn. Besides their religion, the Sundanese also possess a philosophy of life inherited from their ancestors.

The Sundanese way of life, inherited from their ancestors, can be observed in traditional expressions and ancient manuscripts. The Batak people speak an Austronesian language, but it is unknown when their ancestors first settled in Tapanuli and East Sumatra. Because no Neolithic artifacts have been found in the Batak region, it is suspected that their ancestors migrated to North Sumatra during the Metal Age.

This belief system is primarily based on animism with strong Hindu-Buddhist influences. The remaining population is Buddhist, Muslim, and Christian.
