Moi's Animism


The Moi tribe is one of the tribes in Southwest Papua. Initially, it was believed that the Moi originated from Klawelem in Makbon. Moi youth played a role in Operation Trikora by assisting Simon Randa, a Torajan employee of the Dutch government, in supplying the guerrilla enclave around Sorong, which was operated by Trikora infiltration troops.

The elementary and intermediate levels require 6-12 months, while the highest level can take 18 months. Fun Mo, a Moi from the Malyat River, became the ancestor of the King of Sailolof, who later married the daughter of the King of Waigeo.

Sakai's Animism

The Sakai people are a group of people who are isolated and still live traditionally and nomadically in an area on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, precisely west of Bengkalis Regency & west of Siak Regency. Some experts think that the Sakai people are a mixture of Wedoid people and Minangkabau people who migrated around the 14th century. Meranjat's Animism

Other tribes from South Sumatra include all tribes from South Sumatra such as the Meranjat tribe. Based on sources obtained by the author from interviews with Pedamaran village officials. Originally the place where they lived was called Talang Lindung Bunyian. At that time, the population concerned adhered to animist beliefs & some others were Buddhists.
